January 18, 2023 (Others’ time)
One of my favorite things is when I am inspired in a place I wasn't expecting. After the holidays every year, I tend to pick up a book about habits, productivity, or organization.
This year I picked up two by Gretchen Rubin. The thought that struck me today
As leaders, we influence the time of others in a lot of ways:
Assignments
Meetings (Attending/being late for)
Tasks
We can often "launch and forget" things that might have been relevant at one point but are no longer being utilized. We might also consciously or unconsciously be taking others' time in ways that aren't valuable or aiding the mission of your organization.
This week, reflect on the quote from Gretchen Rubin, and:
Consider what you might be asking someone to do that doesn't need to be done.
